How to Get to Wayag Island

Fly to Sorong

The first step, you have to take a flight to the nearest airport of Raja Ampat. This airport is located in the city of Sorong, Southwest Papua. You can take a flight to Domine Eduard Osok Airport from several airports in major cities in Indonesia, such as Jakarta, Bali and Makassar. 

Boat Transfer from Sorong to Waisai

After arriving at the airport, you have to go to Sorong Port to continue your journey to Waisai City on Waigeo Island. There are 2 main options to get to Waisai City from Sorong: ferries and speedboats. The journey takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on the waves and weather. 

From Waisai to Wayag

Waisai is the main gateway to explore the Raja Ampat Islands, one of which is Wayag. You can reach Wayag Island by speedboat or phinisi departing from Waisai Port. The journey to Wayag Island takes approximately 4 to 6 hours, depending on the weather and sea conditions.
