Whole-boat charter rates in the Komodo Luxury fleet for 2026 run: boutique 3–6 cabin phinisi USD 3,800–4,200 per night; full-size luxury phinisi (7–8 cabins, 15–25 guests) USD 5,300–5,900 per night; premium phinisi USD 6,700–8,400 per night; superyacht phinisi USD 9,900–10,833 per night; and flagship superyachts such as Prana by Atzaro, Kudanil Explorer and Lamima USD 20,000–27,000 per night plus VAT. Every figure is per night for the entire vessel, not per person.

Divide the whole-boat rate by the guest count. A full-size luxury phinisi at USD 5,500 per night carrying 15 guests works out to roughly USD 367 per person per night, all-inclusive of cabin, crew, meals and excursions. A boutique 3-cabin yacht at USD 3,800 per night with 8 guests is about USD 475 per person per night. Filling the boat is what lowers the per-person cost — the charter price itself does not change.

A 4-day / 3-night Komodo charter is three nights of the vessel rate. On a full-size luxury phinisi at USD 5,300–5,900 per night that is USD 15,900–17,700 for the whole boat, sleeping 15–25 guests. On a boutique phinisi at USD 3,800 per night it is USD 11,400. National park, ranger and harbour fees are added at the current government rate.

Raja Ampat dive liveaboards in the fleet charter from USD 4,920 to USD 7,035 per night for the whole boat (7–12 cabins, 12–20 guests). Seven nights is therefore approximately USD 34,440 to USD 49,245 for the entire vessel, before Raja Ampat marine park fees, dive surcharges and nitrox. Vessels in this band include Sea Safari 6, Damai 1 and Samambaia.

It depends on the vessel. Most phinisi in the USD 3,800–10,833 band quote an all-in nightly rate with no additional VAT line. Signature and flagship yachts — Rascal, Celestia, Mutiara Laut, Vela, Sanctuary, Kudanil Explorer, Lamima and similar — state their rate plus 11–12% Indonesian VAT. Each vessel page shows which applies, and every quotation states the tax treatment in writing before deposit.

Typically excluded: Komodo or Raja Ampat national park entrance, ranger and harbour fees (paid separately at the current government rate); scuba diving, dive courses and nitrox; alcoholic beverages on most vessels; spa treatments; 11–12% VAT on signature and flagship yachts; international and domestic flights; travel insurance; and crew gratuities. Cabin accommodation, all meals, soft drinks, snorkelling equipment, daily excursions and the full crew are included.

The lowest entry point for an overnight private charter is a boutique luxury phinisi from USD 3,800 per night for the whole boat (3 cabins, up to 9 guests). For travellers who do not need to sleep aboard, a premium speedboat day charter starts at USD 680 per day for up to 8 guests and reaches USD 4,800 per day for a 43-guest vessel. Both are private — Komodo Luxury does not sell shared cabins on these tiers.

Book 3–6 months ahead for the April–October Komodo peak and 4–8 months for Raja Ampat between October and April. Flagship yachts such as Lamima, Prana by Atzaro and Kudanil Explorer are frequently reserved 9–12 months out. 2027 departures can already be held on request, with a 30–50% deposit converting a hold into a confirmed charter.
